Erik Ten Hag has dismissed claims that his team Manchester United are in crisis after yet another shocking result, which saw the Red Devils beaten 3-1 by Brighton at Old Trafford.
United’s troubles go beyond just the pitch as Brazilian winger Anthony was left in his home country to deal with sex allegations, while Jadon Sancho has been exiled after a feud with the head-coach.
On the pitch, the Red Devils were a mere shadow of themselves having being outplayed by much more creative Brighton.
“No, but we have to be disappointed and we have to be very annoyed with ourselves because at United the demand is you win games.” Ten Hag said after the game.
The Dutchman was booed by incensed supporters about his decision to substitute Rasmus Hoijlund on his full debut. When asked if he is worried by the current state of affairs, Ten Hag replied:
“Definitely, that is something that bothers me. But finally it’s about character and now we have to see how strong we are and how the team sticks together and which players stand up and lead the team. We need character, belief, resilience and determination absolutely.”
