The Bavarian club manager Thomas Tuchel spoke with the media after his team’s 2-1 defeat against Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu that see his team exit the Champions League at the ½ finals.
“Our team was almost through, we were almost in the final, and there was a very unusual mistake from our experienced footballer for 1-1, and then they scored us the 2nd one in the extra time.
“Then we scored 1 and there was a catastrophic decision from the officials. It feels like a betrayal in the end. We showed our best, we left everything on the pitch, and we almost succeeded. Now, we must congratulate Los Blancos.”
🚨 Thomas Tuchel on the offside case: “It was a disaster. An absolute disaster and it’s clear violation of the rules”.
“The clear rule is that the scene must continue. The first mistake was made by the linesman, the second by the referee”. pic.twitter.com/22CMHNvpEy

Tuchel added that the linesman apologized, but that doesn’t help at all. Thomas also shared that this wasn’t Bayern’s best game, but he saw his team reaching the final, and a mistake from one of the most experienced players on the pitch hit the whole team hard, and in the end, they must accept the defeat.
