To get Timo Meier Devils traded attackers Andreas Johnsson, Fabian Zetterlund, defencemen Shakir Mukhamadulin, Nikita Okhotiuk, two 1^st round draft picks, and 7^th round pick to the San Jose Sharks.

His stats since joining New Jersey are 9 goals and 14 points in 21 matches. This season Meier played 78 games in which he notched 40 goals and earned 66 points.

Timo is in the final year of his 4-year, 24 million dollar contract and will be a restricted free agent that demands a 10 million dollars qualifying bid.
