Ivan returned and his team triumphed against Forest in the league.

Brentford defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Brentford Community Stadium in Ivan Toney’s 1st match since being banned from football for gambling for the past 9 months.

The Bees ended a 5-game losing EPL run, as they returned from a goal down to win against Nottingham and made Ivan Toney’s return a happy event as he scored this 1st goal in the match from a freekick in the 19th minute to tie the result. Danilo gave the away side the lead in the match only after 3 minutes with a phenomenal shot outside the box.

Ben Mee netted in the 58th minute for Brentford’s 1st lead in the match, but with his goal 7 minutes later, Chris Wood made it 2-2.

Neal Maupay scored the winning goal in the 68th minute after Mads Roerslev Rasmussen’s assist to secure the 3 points for the Bees as they climbed to the 14th place in the Premier League with 22 points after 20 matches.

Nottingham Forest are in 16th place with 20 points after 21 games as the Trees won their previous 2 matches in the Premier League before today’s defeat.
