Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen set a record tenth consecutive win of the 2023 season on Sunday winning the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The Red Bull drivers have won all races this season, with Sergio Perez recording 2 wins at the start of the season, the remaining 12 for Verstappen.
Many pundits are already comparing Red Bull’s dominance to that of Mercedes a few years ago, but Mercedes boss Toto Wolff made an important clarification that is usually missed. “Our situation was a bit different as we had two drivers fighting against each other in the team,” Wolff recalled of the battles between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
A 10/10 performance today @redbullracing 🏆
To win 10 races in a row, and 15 consecutive races as a team, is unbelievable! 💪 I’m beyond proud to achieve this milestone together 👏
Today we will enjoy this moment and then we will keep pushing for more ☝

“I don’t know if Max cares about records. For me, it’s not something important, it’s numbers, it’s for Wikipedia, and no one reads anything there anyway,” he added.
