With training camp just around the corner, the Golden State Warriors have yet to make a significant roster move. That could change quickly once the franchise finalizes its plans for Jonathan Kuminga.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Warriors are preparing to bring in several new faces following the resolution of Kuminga’s future. Among the names linked are Al Horford, Seth Curry, Gary Payton II, and De’Anthony Melton.
The additions would reunite Golden State with Payton II and Melton, while Curry and Horford would be fresh arrivals. The most intriguing storyline would see Steph Curry finally share the NBA floor with his younger brother Seth, something the two have not experienced since childhood.
Horford has been strongly rumored to be on Golden State’s radar since free agency opened, with the Boston Celtics showing little urgency to keep him. Across two stints in Boston spanning seven seasons, the five-time All-Star averaged 11.1 points per game and continued to anchor the defense while embracing a veteran role.
