Wayne Rooney in discussions over boxing debut

The ex-England and Red Devils forward Wayne Rooney has discussed fighting with a boxing promoter at 1 of their future events.

Wayne (38) and his agents have talked about the potential for him to box on a Misfits Boxing promotion, but no details have been provided yet.

Misfits Boxing has recently organized boxing events featuring YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul and other famous businessmen and reality stars.

If the former Man United superstar agrees, he will be part of the Misfits’ crossover boxing series.

Wayne was recently fired from his role as head coach of Championship team Birmingham City. Rooney also led Derby County in the 2^nd tier of English football and MLS club D.C. United from 2022 to 2023.

The ex-Everton striker loves boxing and has cheered for Ricky Hatton, Amir Khan, and the Smith brothers.
