West Ham have reportedly declined a second bid from Arsenal for their captain Declan Rice.
The England’s international has been a long-time target for the Gunners, who are keen on luring him to the Emirates.
It is believed the second offer is around £75m, spread over four payments. However, the Hammers are adamant on a larger fee and shorter payment time, as they already refused Arsenal’s first bid last week.
Rice stepped up in the senior’s West Ham squad in the 2016-17 season, coming off the team’s youth academy and since then has bagged 15 goals in 245 appearances. The 24-year-old still has an year left in his contract with an option for extension until 2025, which puts the team in primer position for demanding larger fee.
Chairman David Sullivan stated that Rice is 99% sure to leave the club over the summer.
