The Hammers had the lead after the 1st half as Ben White scored an own goal in the 16th minute.
The new signing Mohammed Kudus doubled the home team’s lead with his goal in the 50th minute after Nayef Aguerd’s assist. Only 10 minutes later, everything became even worse for the Gunners when Jarrod Bowen scored from the edge of the box to make his side’s lead classical.

After West Ham’s 3rd goal, Mikel Arteta put Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka into the match from the bench, but it was too late for the Gunners to get back in the game. Martin Odegaard netted in the extra time for the final result to be 3-1.
