Jarrod Bowen was the hero for the London side

West Ham United won the Conference League final against Fiorentina 2-1 and became the second champion in tournament history.

In the first half both teams showed an attacking style of play, but unfortunately the most memorable scene was a little over half an hour of play when Fiorentina’s captain Biraghi was hit by West Ham supporters and got a cut on his head.

Just before the break Jovic scored for Fiorentina, but the goal was ruled off for offside.

The second half was much more action packed and in the 62 minute West Ham were awarded a penalty for a handball by Biraghi and Benrahma was unmistakable from the sport for 1-0.

Just five minutes later, though, Giacomo Bonaventura received the ball from Gonzalez in the penalty box and fired it into the far corner for 1-1.

Both teams were looking confident to go into extra time, but in the 90-th minute Paqueta sent a perfect through ball to Bowen behind the defense and he managed to score the decisive goal.
