Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez was angry after the 2-2 draw against Granada and he criticized his team for a poor start and mistakes in the goals conceded, and also disagreed with referee Cesar Soto Grado’s decision to disallow Joao Felix’s stoppage-time goal for offside.
“We dominated almost the entire game. We had quite a few chances and deserved more than the draw, but again we made silly mistakes. We shouldn’t start matches like this. We have commented on how dangerous a rival Granada is. We reacted positively after the bad start and could have made a complete turnaround, but in the end we leave with only 1 point. This is a little for us,” said an angry Xavi.
“In the situation with the disallowed goal, in the end the referee told me that the ball touched Ferran Torres. However, there was clearly no such touch. I was left with the feeling that the goal should have been given. Who was Ferran getting in the way? No one”, the coach said.
