The Basque team won after a phenomenal comeback after a two-goal deficit.

Athletic Bilbao won against Betis 4-2 at Estadio San Mamés after trailing by 2 goals after the first 10 minutes in an entertaining match from the 3rd round in La Liga.

Willian Jose netted after only 2 minutes since the beginning of the match for Betis as Isco doubled the lead for the away club in the 10th minute. However, Athletic Bilbao made a comeback until the end of the 1st half.

Mikel Vesga converted a penalty in the 30th minute, as the same thing happened 15 minutes later as Vesga scored his 2nd goal in the match again from a penalty to tie the game. In the 7th extra minute of the 1st half, Gorka Guruzeta scored after Inaki Williams’ assist to give the Basque side the 1st lead in the match.

In the 84th minute, 20-year-old Unai Gomez scored for Athletic to make it 4-2 and secure the victory for the Basque team after a phenomenal comeback.

Bilbao is in 5th place with 6 points after 3 matches, while Betis is in 9th place with 4 points from the opening 3 games of the new season.
