Kwadwo Opoku scored his first goal for the team after his transfer from Los Angeles FC

CF Montreal won 2-0 over Charlotte FC on Saturday night with Kwadwo Opoku and Chinonso Offor scoring two minutes apart in the first half.
Opoku had a great debut for the Canadians after his transfer from Los Angeles FC on July 5 and found the net unassisted in the 29th minute to give Montreal (9-12-2) the lead.
Offor made it 2-0, using an assist from Joel Waterman to score his fourth of the campaign. Jonathan Sirois didn’t make a single save for his ninth clean sheet of the season for Montreal.
With the victory Montreal snapped a three-match losing streak for a third time this season. The club hasn’t dropped four in a row since 2020.
