Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen spoke about his future at the team, revealing that he doesn’t “have a Plan B” if he doesn’t ink an extension with the reigning LaLiga champs. The centre-back has been dealing with different problems that kept him sidelined for long periods during his time with Barca, and at the moment, the rumors are that the Catalan giants will let him leave as a free agent after the end of the season.
Since the beginning of the season, Andreas has appeared in 10 matches in all tournaments, but only played 342 minutes in all of them as he started most from the bench. The Danish player started in only 3 of those games, as he has been out for 2 weeks with an injury in the past month.
Christensen asked questions about his future and if Barca discussed a new deal with him:
“No, they haven’t reached out to me to discuss a potential extension,” shared the defender. However, Christensen claimed that he doesn’t think about changing his team in the summer, and his only focus now is to play for Barcelona and hopefully extend his stay.
