The Seattle team are strenghtening their linebacking corps

The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers first-choice Devin Bush in a one-year deal.

Bush spent all four of his seasons with the Steelers as he was picked No.10 overall back in 2019. The youngster showed great potential, producing a spectacular rookie season with 109 tackles and two Interceptions.

His second season, however, was done and dusted as early as the fifth game, when he suffered a horrendous anterior cruciate ligament tear and hasn’t been the same player ever since.

Therefore, it is no surprise the Steelers refused to renew his contract for his fifth campaign and released him as a free agent.

The Seahawks currently find themselves in dire need of a linebacker, as Jordyn Brooks is sidelined with anterior cruciate ligament tear, while Cody Barton left as a free agent.

Head-coach John Schneider emphasized earlier in the week the desperate need the Seattle team find themselves in search of linebackers. Fortunately for them, there are currently plenty of them available as free agents in the market.

“It’s just a position where there’s numbers there,” Schneider said

“There’s just more number there, so you really have to focus on other areas where there’s less numbers.”

Taking this into consideration, Bush is unlikely to be the only lineback signing for the Seahawks this season.
