Everton boss Sean Dyche slammed the “bizarre” refereeing decisions in his team’s 2-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield today.
Mohamed Salah scored twice for the victory, as both of his goals the Egypt international netted after the Toffees were left with 10 men on the pitch.
Everton manager Sean Dyche has bemoaned Craig Pawson’s decision not to give Ibrahima Konate a second yellow for his challenge on Beto.

Sean, who was visibly very unhappy with the officials, became even more frustrated when the referee didn’t show the Reds defender Ibrahima Konate a 2nd yellow card for his foul on Beto. The result was 0-0 when the situation happened. Official Craig Pawson gave a yellow card but to Everton’s manager after he was livid on the touchline.
“It’s a bizarre nature of the modern football,” Dyche shared with the media in his post-game interview.
“How they, when the result was 0-0, remained with 11 [players] on the pitch, I don’t think anyone understands why. Their head coach certainly didn’t cause him to take the player off immediately because Klopp knew he needed to be sent off. So, it affected the match without a doubt.”
