The National Union of Professional Footballers in France has reprimanded Paris Saint-Germain after the champions excluded Kylian Mbappe from their squad for the pre-season tour in Asia due to disagreements between the club and the footballer over a new contract, Reuters reported.
The 24-year-old France national team captain has been put on the market for sale by PSG according to media reports after his relationship with the club soured a lot recently.
Mbappe has said he will not renew his contract with the club, which expires at the end of next season, meaning he will leave as a free agent in June 2024.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has announced that the club will not let Mbappe, top scorer in Ligue 1 for the past five seasons, go for free.

“All football players must have the same working conditions,” said the football union. “Managers need to be reminded that putting footballers under pressure by worsening their working conditions, for example, forcing them to leave or comply with the employer’s wishes, constitutes workplace harassment, which French law categorically condemns,” the union’s position says.
“The union reserves the right to take civil or criminal action against any club that engages in such conduct,” the statement also reads.
