“February 17 is the date they should aim for. In my opinion, Tyson needs a little more time to recover. He’s getting hit more now than he has in his entire career and that could shorten his career. This is what worries us. Tyson is a wonderful person, but sometimes he needs to listen to common sense,” Fury said in an interview with Metro.
Tyson Fury is scheduled to face Alexander Usyk on February 17 in Saudi Arabia.
The fight was originally scheduled to take place on December 23, 2023, but after the victory over Francis Ngannou, Fury’s team announced that the boxer would not be ready to fight in December.
