Justin Gaethje wrote history and won his fight against Ilia Topuria to become the undisputed lightweight champion during the main event at UFC Freedom 250 at White House.
Justin landed a lot of damaging shots in the 4th round, including a huge knee to the body right before the horn. Ilia returned to his stool, but his team called for the bout to be waved off, and Gaethje pulled off one of the biggest upsets in UFC history.

It’s a totally deserved victory as the American fighter was ahead on the official scorecards, as Justin won 3 of the 4 rounds according to the judges, while Topuria had triumphed only in the 3rd round. Ilia was the huge favorite and all the experts expected an easy victory for him, but Gaethje showed that at home he can’t be written off.
In the other co-main event title fight, Gane crushed Pereira to win the UFC’s interim heavyweight title. The French fighter stopped his Brazilian opponent via TKO in the 2nd round.
