Jose shared last week that Real Madrid superstar Bellingham had a crucial role in Greenwood joining Getafe on a campaign-long from the Red Devils.
“I wanted to clear up the air about something I said,” the Getafe manager shared. “I claimed that Mason Greenwood came to Getafe because Bellingham advised him. They have clarified to me that this was not true. I apologize. Mason came here because our team wanted him. Manchester United offered him to us, and we were ready to make the move.
Bordalas added that he just wanted to clarify that and didn’t have any bad intentions when he shared that.
Greenwood played his 1st match for Getafe in Sunday’s 3-2 victory against Osasuna, as he came from the bench in the 77th minute.
