Jalen Brunson finished with 25 points, two rebounds and five assists, lifting the New York Knicks to a 102-98 victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.

Julius Randle had 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists and Immanuel Quickley poured in 18 points for the Knicks, who also defeated Philadelphia 76ers 108-97 on Monday night.

Leading by three with 3.5 seconds left, the Knicks fouled Banchero instead of allowing the rookie to attempt a game-tying 3-pointer. After making the first free throw, Banchero’s second attempt was rebounded by Randle, who made wo foul shots for the final margin.

Orlando played without centre Mo Bamba, who missed his second straight contest while serving a four-game suspension.

The Knicks are in seventh place, within the play-in qualification zone. In 56 games played, they accumulate 30 wins and 26 losses in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic are in 13th place in the Eastern Conference, with the third worst campaign, losing only to the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets. Of the 55 games played, the Magic have 33 losses in the competition and only 22 wins.
