The agreement is worth $152.4 million

Los Angeles Clippers’ forward, Kawhi Leonard, has inked a new three-year deal worth $152.4 million, as confirmed by the National Basketball Association (NBA) club.

The contract will keep the 32-year-old Leonard with the team until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. The former player for San Antonio and Toronto had an option in his contract to automatically extend it for another year after the current season, but instead, he opted for a longer-term solution, bringing him nearly $100 million more.

Since the start of this season, Leonard has been averaging 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He stands as one of only twelve players in NBA history to have won the Finals MVP award at least twice. Throughout his career, Leonard has also earned accolades for Defensive Player of the Year and All-Star Game MVP.

Currently, the Los Angeles Clippers hold the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings with a record of 24 wins and 13 losses.
