Liverpool hand Spurs 4th straight EPL defeat with 4-2 at Anfield

The Reds had 4-goal lead after 59 minutes of play.

Liverpool humiliated Tottenham 4-2 at Anfield as Klopp’s side returned to winning ways and handed the London team 4th consecutive Premier League defeat. Liverpool lost only 2 of their last 32 games against Tottenham at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal in the 16th minute after Cody Gakpo’s assist as Andrew Robertson doubled the Reds lead before halftime in the 45th minute.

Cody Gakpo netted only 5 minutes into the 2nd half to make it 3-0 in the 50th minute after Harvey Elliott’s assist as Elliott himself scored fantastic goal in the 59th minute as Salah provided the assist.

Richarlison scored the 1st goal in the match for Spurs in the 72nd minute as Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son netted for 4-2 in the 77th minute after Richarlison’s assist but it was too little too late for the North London team to comeback and that was the final result in the match.

Liverpool are in 3rd place with 78 points after 36 matches as that was the Reds 1st victory in their last 3 league games.

Tottenham are in 5th place with 60 points after 35 games as Spurs are 7 points behind 4th placed Aston Villa as their chances for Champions League spot vanished after today’s defeat.
