Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou was quick to share his frustration with his club’s defending vs. the Gunners today, admitting their failure to restrict Arsenal’s access to goal as ‘unacceptable.’
Arsenal trashed Spurs in the 1st half, converting the home side mistakes in defense and ended the half with a 3-goal lead as Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz netted as well as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who scored an own goal.
Spurs manager shared after the derby that what his players did on the pitch in defense can’t happen again in the future. “I think we allowed them way too easy access to our goals. They got there 3 or 4 times in the 1st half and netted 3 goals. That can’t happen at the level that we aim to play. We paid the price vs. a top opponent.”
🗣️ "Games aren't refereed in the stadium anymore — they're refereed somewhere else."
😤 Safe to say Ange Postecoglou really isn't a fan of VAR
