However, in the 29th minute, Ronald Araujo made a foul that stopped the PSG player from being left alone inside the penalty box with the Catalan side goalkeeper, and the referee showed a red card to the Uruguayan defender.
With 1 more footballer on the pitch, PSG controlled the match until the end of the 1st half, and ex-Barca player Ousmane Dembele, who is whistled from the home supporters when he touches the ball, scored in the 40th minute to tie the result after Bradley Barcola’s assist.
In the extra time of the 1st half, Dembele had another fantastic opportunity to score, but his shot went narrowly wide of the left post.
However, 10-man Barca couldn’t stop the Parisian side in the 2nd half and they scored 3 goals. Vitinha with a fantastic shot outside the box secured the lead for PSG for the 1st time in the match in the 54th minute as Dembele won a penalty for PSG and Kylian Mbappe converted it in the 61st minute to give the advantage to the French team in the matchup.
