Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde could face a heavy penalty for the incident in which he punched Villarreal’s Alejandro Baena after the match between the two teams at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night.
Valverde waited for the player in the parking lot in front of the stadium and punched him in the face.
Valverde’s version is that he was provoked by the words: “Cry now, since your child will not be born”. Baena made a similar remark to the Uruguayan national team on January 19 during the match between the two teams in the Copa del Rey.

According to “AC”, the State Commission for Combating Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports will look at the case at its meeting on April 17. Two documents will be taken into consideration: the complaint to the police submitted by the victim Baena, as well as the medical document certifying the injuries to his left cheekbone.
