Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Houston Rockets, is more than pleased with the franchise’s new head coach – Ime Udoka and is very optimistic about the future of his NBA team.

He thinks that Houston will start “phase 2” and be able to compete for the playoffs next season after missing the last 3 postseasons.
“The league told me that they felt very comfortable with Udoka joining as the coach of the Rockets,” the owner said today at a news conference at the Toyota Center. “So that made me feel great after long talks with him.”
Ime reached the NBA finals in his only season as head coach in the league with Boston Celtics and had a 51-31 regular season record.
