Salah will miss Egypt’s next game due to artificial turf fears

Mohamed Salah will not be on the pitch in Egypt’s upcoming game vs. South Sudan after the national team decided to rest their superstar. The main reason is the playing surface, and the team wants to avoid any unnecessary injury risk for Salah.

The Egyptian FA has revealed that their captain will help his teammates when they face South Sudan after 2 days. The decision is to avoid any potential injuries to Salah, who remains the superstar of the African nation.

Salah played for 1 hour in his national team’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Angola, but he couldn’t help his country win, and the match ended without goals. Nice defender Mohamed Abdelmonem also won’t travel with his teammates, and Egypt will try to win without 2 of their biggest stars vs. South Sudan on Tuesday.

Mohamed Salah has not really been "dropped" by Egypt. He was left out of the South Sudan trip because Juba Stadium has an artificial pitch.
