The left-back was lured on deadline day in order to fill in the void left by injuries Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Shaw was out for three months with muscle injury, while Malacia is still recovering from a knee injury, sustained in the beginning of the season.
However, Reguilon has failed to impress, making only 12 appearances at the left-back position. Diego Dalot, Sofyan Amrabat and Victor Lindelof have often been picked instead, leaving the Spaniard as the second option.
Reguilon made just seven starts in all competitions for Erik ten Hag’s side, with the last of these coming during the dire 3-0 home defeat by Bournemouth in December.
He returns to Spurs, where he is unlikely to find a starting place anytime soon.
