Tottenham finished 2-2 vs. Brentford in the season-opener at Brentford Community Stadium as that was Spurs’ first official match since Harry Kane was sold to Bayern Munich.
The show was in the 1st half when we saw 4 goals. Cristian Romero netted the 1st goal in the 11th minute after James Maddison’s assist. Still, the Argentinian defender suffered a head injury when he scored and was substituted as Davinson Sanchez entered his place.

After the substitution, Spurs played awful in defense, and Brentford made a comeback after Bryan Mbeumo netted a penalty in the 26th minute after Heung-Min Son in his 1st match as Tottenham captain made a penalty.
Yoane Wissa scored in the 36th minute to give the London club the lead, but Emerson Royal with a great shot outside the penalty box tied the match again in the extra time of the 1st half.
