Reports in Italian media suggest that Chinese owner Suning are ready to sell the club for $1.27b

American investment fund is ready to invest in Italian giants Inter, either by buying a majority stake in the club or joining current Chinese owner Suning as a minority shareholder, according to Il Giornale report on Friday.

There have already been several reports over the last few years on Nerazzurri’s potential sale although Suning have always insisted that they want to keep the Milan-based club.

Il Giornale claims that Goldman Sachs and Raine Group have been sounding out the market for more than two years, looking for a potential investor who could help Suning or buy the club from the Chinese company.

It also says that the situation will be more precise in two weeks, with an unknown American investment fund ready to invest in the Serie A giants and potentially invest in the club by the end of the season.

According to Il Giornale, Suning are ready to sell the club for €1.2b ($1.27), the same fee paid by RedBird to acquire the AC Milan – the other big club in the Italian city, last summer.
