The guard lands his rookie-scale deal extension as part of the 2020 NBA draft selection and puts himself on the map as 1 of the crucial Spurs players for the future.
Devin is the 6th player in his draft class to sign an extension as before him, the same did Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, Isaiah Stewart, and Desmond Bane.
The Spurs guard was the 11th overall selection in 2020 and played phenomenally in the past NBA campaign until the beginning of the year when he suffered a knee problem and didn’t compete for 2 months.
Vassell averaged almost 20 points per match in the past season.
