Xavi: ‘Next 2 games to define Barcelona’s campaign’

Barca boss Xavi Hernandez has claimed he thinks his side’s next 2 matches will define their campaign.

The Catalan club, who are 8 points behind La Liga leaders Girona and 7 points behind 2^nd placed Real Madrid, will face away from home Real Betis tomorrow before traveling to Bilbao for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey ¼ finals vs. Athletic Club.

“These upcoming matches will mark the campaign, but also if we have positive results with Betis in the league or Athletic for the cup,” Barcelona’s head coach claimed.

“They are a rival that we did not want in Copa del Rey, but we will do our best to eliminate them.

“But 1^st, Betis. Everything in our club is determined in the next several days. It’s always been that way.”

Xavi added that the club is optimistic and trusts the squad because he lifted 2 trophies with the same players in the past campaign.
