The Premier League team announced that Everton are owned now by the 777 Partners today, as the Miami-based company will take over from Farhad Moshiri in a deal worth around 700 million dollars.
The private equity firm claimed it had inked an agreement with British-Iranian billionaire Moshiri to acquire his 94.1% stake in the team.
“We are really happy by the opportunity to become part of the Everton family as owners of the team, and consider it a privilege to be able to build on its enormous heritage and values,” shared Josh Wander, founder and managing partner of the investment fund.

777 Partners already owns other football sides, including Genoa and Standard Liege, while they also have stakes in Seville and Melbourne Victory.
The former Everton owner Moshiri shared after the sale that he believes that 777 Partners are the best solution for the club, and he expects the team to progress with them.
