Arteta: The new EPL head coach will raise Arsenal’s level

Mikel Arteta shared his view about the competition in the Premier League ahead of the new season and claimed that the arrival of Enzo Maresca and a raft of new head coaches in the league this campaign could push the Gunners to another level.

Mikel and Maresca will face each other for the 1^st time since the Italian took over from Pep Guardiola in today’s Community Shield in Cardiff.

Arteta backed the Italian to do “amazing work” with the Sky Blues now 1 of the 9 EPL teams with new head coaches in the current campaign. The changes only make the Gunners the favorite to win the Premier League again.

Mikel shared that not only Manchester City, but also other teams will be competition for the title this season:

“The Sky Blues will be a huge competitor for the 1^st place even without Guardiola, but we have a lot of competition.”

“When you look at the players that each team has and the managers, you see how strong a lot of teams are right now in the league, but we know that.”

Arsenal manager added that they need to focus on themselves and raise the level even higher than in the past campaign.
