Standing inside the Los Angeles Clippers’ new state-of-the-art Intuit Dome, franchise owner Steve Ballmer claimed he “hated” seeing Paul George choose another team but revealed that the new roster around Kawhi Leonard and James Harden could fight for the title in the upcoming season.
The Clips owner, who gave media a final preview of the team’s new venue and the 1st glimpse of the double-sided halo display called “The Halo Board” – shared he believes in the organization’s new roster. Steve doesn’t have any doubt that his team will fight for the championship even without Paul and Russell Westbrook.
Ballmer added that he loves George as he is phenomenal basketballer, but the team must get better and that they offered Paul what they thought was a fair contract for the Clippers to be competitive but the player decided that’s not what he wanred.
George inked a 4-year, 212 million dollar max contract with Philly at the beginning of July.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer says typical t-shirt tosses at NBA arenas aren’t fair.
So the team’s new $2B home, the Intuit Dome, will have t-shirt cannons in its Halo Board that can hit every seat.
