Barca have started discussions with Man United to secure Marcus Rashford for a 2nd straight loan spell. Despite the rumors that the English forward will leave in the summer, the manager Hansi Flick has demanded from the directors that Marcus will stay.
With a permanent deal very unlikely because of the Rashford 30 million euro price tag, Barcelona are hopeful to secure the striker for another campaign on loan.
Marcus scored his 13th goal of the campaign in Barca’s latest victory with 2-0 against Getafe, and the English forward is very happy in Catalonia and prefers to continue to play for the Spanish team rather than return to Old Trafford.
Barcelona has the option to trigger a 30 million euro buy clause in Rashford’s deal, but would prefer another loan given the current financial situation.
Marcus also has 13 assists to his name in the current campaign, along with 13 goals in 45 matches in all tournaments, and Hansi Flick believes that the English goal scorer could be even better if he continues to play for another season under him.
🚨🆕 Understand Barcelona are pushing for a second loan for Marcus #Rashford.
Talks with Manchester United are ongoing. Barcelona currently do not want to trigger the €30m option to buy – ideally a second loan, otherwise they want to negotiate the fee down. #MUFC
