Nuggets defeat Timberwolves to avoid elimination and force Game 6

The Denver Nuggets were on top level both on offense and defense just in time to avoid elimination from the postseason.

Nikola Jokic finished the clash with a triple-double, Spencer Jones played well as he is replacing injured Aaron Gordon, and Denver avoided elimination with a 125-113 victory against the injury-riddled Minnesota in Game 5 of the matchup.

“I believe we are a team that can triumph in matches in many ways,” shared Spencer, who notched 20 points and was crucial for the Nuggets in the 3^rd quarter to give them an edge.

Nikola had 27 points, 16 assists, and 12 boards for the Nuggets, while the other star of the team, Jamal Murray, had 24 points.

“Denver is a championship team, without a doubt,” claimed Julius Randle, who finished with 27 points for the Timberwolves. “They showed the class that they have in front of their fans and won. However, we must now get ourselves together and finish the job back in Minnesota to eliminate them on Thursday.”
