Jacoby didn’t get any new years on his contract and is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent after the campaign. The quarterback had never set out to add more seasons to the 2-year deal he inked in 2025.
“It’s really positive. I’m happy for Brissett. Happy for our organization. That’s productive. For it to be finished by now, it’s very positive,” Arizona manager Mike LaFleur shared.
The Cardinals head coach revealed Jacoby will start taking reps with the 1st-team offense in 2 days, when the franchise returns from its day off and begins its 2nd block of practice camp.
Mike wouldn’t commit to Jacoby starting in the opener when Arizona will face the Chargers in California, just that Brissett will start taking 1st-team reps.
Jacoby was in the 2nd year of a 2-year contract that was scheduled to pay him below 5 million dollars, with just 1.5 million of them guaranteed.
