Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett will report for the Cardinals’ mandatory minicamp in the current week, after holding out for all of the organization’s offseason program while he awaits a reworked deal for the upcoming campaign.
Jacoby was at risk of being fined over 100,000 dollars if he missed the camp. The quarterback missed the entirety of the Cardinals’ Phase 1 and Phase 2, as well as Arizona’s all 3 OTAs.
The organization minicamp will begin tomorrow, and while the QB will be there, it’s still unknown how much he will practice on the field.
He demands a restructured deal for the current campaign, the 2nd of a 2-year contract he inked last spring. His current contract pays him almost 5 million dollars annually, but only 1.5 million dollars are guaranteed.
On the other hand, Gardner Minshew II, whom the Cardinals inked as a free agent this spring, had over 5 million dollars guaranteed for this season.
