Manager Dan Quinn did not reveal how long the left tackle will be out, but shared Washington’s hope the 5-time Pro Bowler will return in the current campaign.
“It is always awful to discuss a footballer being sidelined, especially a great footballer like Laremy,” the Commanders head coach said today. “Not only is he one of our best footballers, but Tunsil is also a fantastic teammate. We will miss him a lot, and without a doubt, we can’t wait to see him back on the field.”
Laremy’s problem is a crucial blow to Washington’s offense, costing it a footballer considered 1 of the best left tackles in the NFL. The recovery time for such a problem is at least 4 months and as long as half a year.
Dan revealed that Brandon Coleman will be the Commanders’ starting LT during Laremy’s absence.
He sustained the problem during the past weekend’s practice in a 1-on-1 pass-rush drill.
