Chelsea eliminate Leeds from FA Cup after 5-goal thriller in London

Chelsea won against Leeds United 3-2 at Stamford Bridge and advanced to the ¼ final of the FA Cup.

The Championship side got the lead in London after only 8^th minutes as Jaidon Anthony scored after Mateo Joseph’s assist.

However, Chelsea made a comeback before the end of the 1^st half and got the lead after the 1^st 45 minutes. Nicolas Jackson tied the game with his goal in the 15^th minute after Moises Caicedo’s assist.

Mykhailo Mudryk secured the lead for the home side with his goal in the 37^th minute as Raheem Sterling provided a nice pass inside the box for the Ukrainian.

However, Leeds refused to give up, and Mateo Joseph headed the ball into Chelsea’s net in the 59^th minute after Jaidon Anthony’s assist.

When everybody at the stadium thought that the match would be decided after extra time, Conor Gallagher, who replaced Noni Madueke in the 61^st minute, netted the winning goal in the extra time after Enzo Fernandez’s assist inside the box.
