Roberto De Zerbi spoke about the rumors that he is among the candidates to become the next permanent manager of the Red Devils after Ruben Amorim’s dismissal.
The ex-midfielder Michael Carrick has been hired as interim head coach until the end of the campaign, and in the summer, the team from Old Trafford will appoint Ruben’s replacement.
Roberto was reportedly interviewed for the job of leading Man United in 2024 but turned down the opportunity. However, the Red Devils still like De Zerbi and could try once again to lure him to become the club’s boss.
The Italian head coach was asked about this topic ahead of his club’s UCL match against Liverpool at home tomorrow: “I’m only thinking about Marseille. It was my choice to come here, and now we have a huge game, and my only focus is to perform at our highest level on Wednesday. I feel amazing here in this city and this side.”
“My focus is totally on Marseille. I have no space in my head for other things!”
