The Spanish manager does not intend to extend his current contract with the club after Champions League trophy
Pep Guardiola came to Manchester City with one big goal – to bring to the club the first Champions League title in their history.
He managed to do so in the past season and he did it in style, winning the treble – Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League – an achievement only managed by one other English side – the local rivals Manchester United in 1998/99 season.
According to reports from ESPN, Guardiola doesn’t feel like he has anything to prove anymore and is expected to put an end to his journey at Etihad in 2025 when his contract expires, which would be nine years after he took the job as City manager.
