Tyrese saved his team from elimination after a phenomenal match.

Tyrese Maxey saved Philly from elimination with 7 points in the final 25 seconds of regular time, finished with 46, and led Philadelphia 76ers to a 112-106 OT triumph against the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

76ers trailed by 6 points with 28 seconds until the end before Tyrese pulled out a comeback that flashbacked memories of Reggie Miller’s 8 points in 9 seconds for Indiana at the same venue in 1995.

Maxey had a 4-point play with 25 seconds remaining to cut it to 2, and after Josh Hart’s free throw, he pulled up from 35 feet to even the result with 8 seconds remaining and shocked the home supporters, who were ready to celebrate.

Joel Embiid had 19 points, 16 boards, and 10 assists for Philadelphia, which will welcome Game 6 on Thursday.

Jalen Brunson finished with 40 points for New York, who were preparing for a possible Game 1 at the beginning of the weekend at home from the 2nd round. But things went differently and Knicks will have to win 1 of the next 2 possible matches to advance.
