Mourinho returns as the next Real Madrid head coach

Jose Mourinho will again be the boss of Real Madrid as he returns for a 2^nd spell, exactly 13 years after his 1st spell ended.

There were rumors in the past month that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is eager to appoint Jose to replace Alvaro Arbeloa, who took the team as an interim manager after Xabi Alonso left by mutual agreement at the beginning of 2026.

The Royal Club is currently in complete chaos. It will be very interesting to see how a manager with a temper like Mourinho will handle things.

When the Portuguese manager arrived at Real in 2010, he was regarded as the best manager in football, having just won the treble with Inter and led before that Porto and Chelsea to glory.

However, now things are completely different as Jose is without a league title in the past 11 years, as the Conference League is the only trophy that he has won in the past 10 years.

Despite that, Perez believes that a manager such as Mourinho must lead the Royal Club as he has many similarities to Zidane and Ancelotti, who were successful in handling the team.
