Roque subs on, scores and was sent off in Barca’s win vs. Alaves

Barcelona won against Alaves 3-1 at Estadio Mendizorrotza and moved to the 3^rd place in La Liga. The victory extends the Catalan side’s unbeaten league record away from home this campaign to 11 games.

Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal in the 1^st half in the 22^nd minute after Ilkay Gundogan’s assist. Gundogan doubled Barca’s lead with his goal in the 49^th minute after Pedri’s assist.

However, only 2 minutes later, 19-year-old Samu Omorodion netted for Deportivo Alaves to make it 2-1.

Ilkay Gündogan has provided nine assists across all competitions for Barcelona in 2023/24, the most he has ever recorded in a single season.

Vitor Roque replaced Ilkay Gundogan in the 59^th minute, and only 4 minutes later, the Brazilian scored his 2^nd goal for Xavi’s team to make the lead again 2 goals for the visiting side. However, Vitor received a yellow card in the 67^th minute and 5 minutes later, another yellow card and left his team with 10-man on the pitch until the end.
