Gareth Southgate was full of praise for Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola, as according to him, the Spaniard has had a huge impact in improving England squad’s quality.
The players in question are Kyle Walker, John Stones and Jack Grealish, who have become regular starters for England ever since joining Pep Guardiola’s side.
‘It has been brilliant for our players to work with him and they have learned individually and tactically and, as much as anything, the mentality.’ Southgate said.
‘Pep’s the best coach in the world in my opinion and I’m a huge admirer of what he does, the consistency of how he drives the team.’
Manchester City are on the brink of a historic Treble as they already lifted the Premier League title for a third consecutive time and have booked a spot both in the FA Cup, where they will play bitter rivals Manchester United, and in the Champions League, where they face off Inter Milan.
