Wagner notches 34 as Magic beat Cavs 112-99 to tie the series

Orlando evened the series against Cleveland 2-2.

Franz Wagner scored 34 points and had 13 boards, and the Orlando Magic defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-99 after keeping Cavs in the 2nd half scoreless for almost 7 minutes at Kia Center in Orlando, FL and evened the matchup 2-2.

Franz had 10 points in the 1st 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter, matching Cavaliers total for the entire period, when Orlando outscored them 37-10 and overcame a 7-point halftime trail into 2nd consecutive victory.

Jonathan Isaac finished with 14 points, including Magic’s only 2 three-pointers of the 1st half and Markelle Fultz with 12 points helped Orlando from the bench. Paolo Banchero, who notched 35 points in the previous match from the series, had 9 points and 5 assists today.

Jarrett Allen scored 21 points and grabbed 9 boards for Cleveland. Donovan Mitchell notched 18 points, but all of them in the 1st half, as also finished with 6 assists.

Game 5 of the matchup will be back in Cleveland on Tuesday.
