Cade Cunningham finished with 32 points and 12 assists, Tobias Harris helped with 30 points, and the Detroit Pistons defeated the Orlando Magic 116-94 in Game 7 to win a postseason matchup for the 1st time in 18 seasons.
Cade averaged almost 33 points for the Pistons, which last triumphed in a playoff series by defeating the Magic in the 2nd round in 2008. Detroit will face in the 2nd round the winner between the Cavs and Raptors as the 1st match of the series will be on Tuesday.
Detroit became the 15th organization in league history to win a series after trailing 3-1 and the 2nd in the last 2 days, after Philly came back to eliminate the Celtics.
The Pistons trailed by 24 points in Game 6 in Florida before winning the match and forcing Game 7 at home. Magic notched only 113 points in the final 6 quarters of the matchup – an average of only almost 19 points per quarter.
Cunningham and Harris became the 1st Detroit teammates to finish with at least 30 points in a postseason match since 1977 as now the fans will expect the duo to lead the team to the title.
